A couple of weeks ago Michigan State University Head Football Coach Mark Dantonio had a decision to make about about Senior Cornerback Chris Rucker.
Rucker was cited for driving while intoxicated and his blood alcohol was .10 in the early hours of Oct. 10 after the Spartans' win against Michigan. His recent arrest led to a plea agreement to reckless driving, an eight-day jail term and two more years of probation. The question on everyone's mind was, "Will he be allowed to rejoin the team, and play the next game?"
Many called for Rucker to be dismissed and not allowed back on the field, but citing that Coach Dantonio is a man of faith, faith in God, faith in family, faith in football, and faith in everyone in his program could their room for
"MERCY?"
Coach Dantonio says, He's not a saint. He calls himself a sinner. But he's also real, caring, and a giver He believes in forgiveness. He believes God gave him another chance after the heart attack he suffered earlier in the year. So He is paying forward and giving another chance to one of his players.
